In the Department we recognize the importance of quality education for the students as the future specialists. The Department of World and National Economy was established in 1997 as the Department of International Economic Relations (it was renamed in 2006). In 2014 as a result of structural reorganization the merger with the Department of Management, formed in 1978, had happened.

Administration of the Department

The administration is carried out by the head of the Department.

The Department includes two sectors:  “World and National Economy” and “Management”.

Members

The Department has:

Professor: Svetlana Lebedeva;

Associate professors: Marya Timoshenko, Lubov Klimovich, Vitaly Doroshko;

Senior lecturers: Olga Maksimchikova, Tatiana Tishkovskaya, Marya Dvorkina;

Officer: Elena Vasilevskaya.

Activity

The activity of the Department includes:

 Educational process

The Department offers 2 educational programmes for local and Russian-speaking international students (undergraduates):

1. Spaciality “World Economics”;

2. Speciality “Management”.

The Department offers 3 educational programmes for master Russian-speaking students:

1. Speciality “World Economics”;

2. Speciality “Business Administration”;

3. Speciality “Public Administration”.

The department ensures teaching the 38 academic disciplines for undergraduate and 14 academic disciplines for master students (2023-2024).

Research programmes

The Department conducts researches on the different problems of national economy and management.

 Textbooks and teaching aids edition

More than 30 textbooks, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, were edited by the members of the Department.

Collaboration with industrial and retail enterprises

Four affiliates of the Department are working for improvement of practical skills of the students.

International cooperation

The Department actively participate in realization of different international projects, realized by such programmes as Tempus, Visby, Erasmus Mundus and others.

The Department also maintains collaboration with other Universities and Institutions.
